Academic Competitiveness and National SMART Grants
These grants will encourage students to take more challenging courses in high school – making success in college more likely. Students applying for these grants must be eligible for the PELL GRANT. Students can go to www.federalstudentaid.ed.gov to learn more about these new student aid grant programs.
Advancing Science and Technology in Eastern Oregon (ASTEO) Scholars
Are you a first-time freshman or transfer majoring in biology, chemistry-biochemistry, computer science or mathematics? Apply for the ASTEO scholarship! Applications are open from October 1 to February 1. Up to $7500 annually for tuition and fees for four years for freshmen, two years for transfers. Hands on learning during your first year of study. Live in a STEM community on campus. Monthy STEM activities with faculty. Be eligible for summer internships to buid strong resumes and be eligible for a paid position as an ASTEO Ambassador for EOU. Agribusiness Scholarship
Ag Scholarship - Each year, the Chamber Agribusiness Committee awards scholarships to Magic Valley students pursuing an education in agriculture. Students must have graduated from a Magic Valley high school and study at an Idaho college or university. Current High School students and college students are eligible. The application is available online and must be submitted by December 15
Alois and Marie Goldman Scholarship Fund

Alpha RHO Alumni Scholarship
This scholarship is for students planning on attending the University of Idaho beginning the fall school year 2018/2019. It is sponsored by the Alums of Alpha Chi Omega. The award is $750.00 and the deadline for application is January 15, 2019. The application form is in the scholarship box in the Career Center.
American Cancer Society’s Scholarship Program
The program is designed to help young cancer survivors pursue an undergraduate degree from an accredited university, community college or vocational school. The application is available in the spring from the scholarship box or by going on line to the American Cancer Society web site and typing in Great West Division Scholarship in the search box in the upper right corner.
American Chemical Society Scholars Program
This scholarship is designed to encourage African-American, Hispanic, and Native American students to pursue undergraduate college degrees in the chemical sciences. High school seniors who will be entering college are also eligible www.acs.org/scholars.
American Planning Association
The American Planning Association is a non-profit public interest and research organization representing 40,000 planners, elected officials, and citizens involved with urban and rural planning issues. This is an essay contest that started in October. Those applying for this $5,000 scholarship will think critically about the role of planning in creating communities of lasting value. AXA National Dollars for Scholars Scholarship
Students are eligible to apply if they are enrolled or planning to enroll full-time at an accredited two-or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school. Applicants are evaluated on their level of volunteer service as well as the student’s academic achievement, work experience, school activities and a statement of goals. The award amount is $500. Buick Achievers Scholarship Program
This scholarship is open to high school seniors who plan to enroll full time at a four-year college or university in 2018-2019. Those who apply must plan to major in a field of study that focuses on engineering, technology, design or business, with an interest in the automotive industry. Burger King Scholars Program
Awards are $1,000 each. GPA of 2.5 or higher, work part-time (15 hours),

Coca-Cola Scholars
The Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation was established in 1986 by the local Coca-Cola Bottler to recognize outstanding seniors. Dell Scholars Program
Funded by Michael and Susan Dell Foundation. Students need to have a GPA of 2.4 or higher, be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, and have a demonstrable need for financial assistance. D.L. Evans Bank

Elks National Foundation
Most Valuable Student Scholarship
Open to any high school senior who is a US citizen. Applications are available now at www.elks.org/enf/scholars - it is the easiest best way to apply. Make a copy of the online application and get it to Mr. Jeff Jeffries at 1020 Nevada St., Gooding, ID 83330 by November 30, 2018.
Far West Agribusiness Association
This scholarship is for students interested in the Agricultural Industry. This scholarship is open to high school graduates and college students. For information, criteria and deadlines please access their website at www.fwaa.org FWAA also has internship opportunites accessible through the same website. The paper version of the application is also available in the scholarship box in the Career Center.
Gooding Basque Association Annual Scholarship
This is a $500 scholarship awarded for academic or vocational studies. The application deadline is usually in April. Please look in the scholarship box for the application form starting in March. There is a short essay required so give yourself plenty of time to write.
Gooding Chamber of Commerce Scholarship
This local scholarship comes out in the spring of the year and the deadline is generally the first of May. You can find the scholarship in the scholarship box in the Career Center.

Hagan Scholarship Foundation
The Hagan Scholarship is a nationwide need-based merit scholarship. Recipients must graduate from a public high school located in a county having fewer than 50,000 residents. The scholarship provides up to $6,000 each semester for up to 8 consecutive semesters. For more information on eligibility and how to apply go to www.hsfmo.org.
Hispanic Scholarship Fund
Founded in 1975, the Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF) empowers Latino families with the knowledge and resouces to successfully complete higher education, while providing scholarships and support services to as many exceptional Hispanic American students as possible. Application opens January 1 and closes March 31. For more information and to apply visit https://www.hsf.net/scholarship.
Hospital Foundation Health Care Scholarship
This scholarship is available through the North Canyon Medical Center foundation and is made available for students entering a health care field that has at least a 2.5 GPA and has participated in extra curricular activities. The amount of the scholarship is $500. The deadline for the application is generally mid March.
Horatio Alger Scholarship
The Horatio Alger Association seeks to assist students who have demonstrated integrity, perseverance in overcoming adversity, strength of character, financial need, a good academic record, commitment to pursue a college education, and a desire to contribute to society. Students must submit an online application at www.scholars.horatioalger.org The deadline is October 25, 2018.
Idaho Association of Counties
This scholarship comes in varying amounts and is awarded to eligible children of county elected officials and county employees and the grandchildren of county elected officials. Idaho Community Foundation
Gooding High School Class of 1956 fund: Must be graduating from the Gooding High School and demonstrate financial need as documented on the standard financial aid form. Can be used at the student’s choice of public or private junior college, college, university or vocational-technical school. Deadline for application(s) varies by scholarship and there are quite a few different scholarships and this is only one of many.
Idaho Horse Council Education Scholarship Program
The Idaho Horse Council, a non-profit association, is made up of people across the state who are involved in the equine industry. The scholarship award amount is $1000. Go to http://idahohorsecouncil.com/?page_id=43. The application is on the website by Sept.1, 2018 and the deadline for application is February 2, 2019.
Idaho Irrigation Equipment Association Scholarship
These scholarships are for students pursuing degrees in Irrigation Equipment, Parts/power machinery, landscape irrigation and design, agricultural engineering, soil and water engineering, biological systems engineering, and agricultural education. The applications are available from the counselor, member of the Idaho Irrigation Equipment Assoc. or at www.idahoirrigationequipmentassociation.org. The deadline for application is February 2019.
Idaho Power Scholarship for Academic ExcellenceAny student residing in the Idaho Power service area who is in the graduating class of an accredited high school, plans full-time attendance at any accredited Idaho, Oregon, or Nevada college, and has a 3.75 minimum GPA may apply. An application form is available in the Career Center. The scholarship amount is $1000 and the deadline for application is March 1of current academic year. Go online for the application now.

Idaho School Boards Association, Inc.
This scholarship is for students who the children or grandchildren of an active school board member or members who served 3 or more years. The applicant must be a senior who is graduating (or plans to graduate) from an Idaho public high school prior to Sept 1, 2018. The application may be found at www.idsba.org/node/388. The 2018 application will be available when the new scholarship season opens.
Image de Idaho
Image de Idaho is a non-profit organization serving the interests of Latinos in employment, training, education, civil rights, and social issues. The scholarship application is due April 30 for summer and June 30 for the fall start. The requirements for the scholarship are listed on the application form. Imagine America Scholarship
Each year, up to three students can be selected to receive a $1,000 Imagine America scholarship. It is designed to help students desiring to pursue a career education. Please check out this scholarship on line at www.imagine-america.org. This web site also has the list of qualifying career (professional/technical) schools and the application form.
Jack Kent Cooke Foundation
This scholarship is awarded to students currently attending community colleges or two-year institutions in the US and planning to transfer to four-year institutions. The student that applies must be nominated by the Jack Kent Cooke representative at the college they are attending. The awarded amount is up to $30,000. The representative at the College of Southern Idaho is Mary Joe Church, Scholarship Coordinator, PO Box 1238, Twin Falls, ID 83303-1238.
Khan Law Firm Scholarship
This law office in Seattle is offering this scholarship to a student planning to attend college in the US. The student must have a 3.0 gpa and the student must write an essay explaining their plans for furthering their education. This scholarship is worth $1,000.00 and the application can be accessed on line at http://khaninjurylaw.com/scholarship/
Latinos and Planning Division
This scholarship is part of the American Planning Association. This scholarship is designed to increase interest in the study of urban planning with in the Latino student population. Magic Valley Dairy Days - Wendell Chamber of Commerce
This scholarship is awarded to Magic Valley Students for use at Idaho colleges, universities, and vocational schools. Scholarships are in the amount of $300 and must be used within one year of being awarded. See the scholarship box for application form. The due date is April 30.
McKelvey Foundation Scholarship
This scholarship is made available to high school seniors who have demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit by owning and operating their own business while in high school. To qualify you need to own your own business; have at least 1 paid employee; graduate high school spring 2019 and plan to attend any four-year college in the United States. This scholarship is worth $10,000 to be awarded each year for 4 years. National Association of Secondary School Principals
If you have made a difference through volunteering over the past year, you could win $1,000 and a trip to Washington, D.C., next May by applying for a Prudential Spirit of Community Award! Pacific Northwest Grain & Feed Association

Robert C. Byrd Scholarship
The Byrd Scholarship is a federally funded program awarded on the basis of merit. The award is $1500 per year, may be renewable, and may be used at institutions in-state and out-of-state. ROTC – Military scholarships – Army, Navy, and Air Force
These are scholarships that pay tuition, fees, books and a monthly stipend. To consider these scholarships it is best to go online and read the information on qualifying and applying. It is important to know that you must begin the application process in the spring of your junior year in order to get through the process in a timely manner. The do require military duty after graduation. Rouch Foundation Scholarship
The Rouch Foundation is to assist needy young men and women in Twin Falls and the surrounding area. The scholarship application can be found in the Scholarship box in the early spring of each year.
Safelink Internet Technology Scholarship
Safelink is offering (3) $500 scholarships to students with interests and talent in the field of technology. Please see the scholarship form in the Scholarship box around March 1, 2019. The winners will be chosen based on the strength of their essay, and the clarity of their responses and vision for themselves as a contributor to the future workforce. The scholarship form will have the closing date, approx. the third week in April.

State Board of Education State Scholarship Site
The 2018/2019 online application site will open for students beginning about October 01, 2018 and will close for students on or about January 15, 2019. These
scholarships include: Governor’s Challenge, Promise Category A, Robert C. Byrd,

Society of Women Engineers
The Southwest Idaho Section of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) is offering scholarships to young women entering their first year of college who are majoring in engineering or a related field. United Dairyman of Idaho Scholarship
Each year, fifteen(15) $1500 scholarships will be awarded to the dairy families of Idaho. Scholarships will be awarded to graduating high school seniors attending two and four year colleges and universities as well as trade schools. There is also one $2500 scholarship awarded.
